The Important Role of Test & Measurement in IoT Device Development

The range of applications and use cases in the IoT has placed a great deal of pressure on the test and measurement aspects of wireless systems design to ensure not only the desired performance for the application in question, but also address compatibility and operation in a crowded multispectral operating environment.

The range of applications and use cases in the IoT has placed a great deal of pressure on the test and measurement aspects of wireless systems design to ensure not only the desired performance for the application in question, but also address compatibility and operation in a crowded multispectral operating environment.

Today’s wireless systems designer need to keep three things in mind, among others. First is to test the device to verify proper functionality, then it must be tested for wireless system compatibility, and then it must be confirmed to be in compliance with the regulatory environment of the market being served. In this technical session we’ll cover these and other aspects of wireless product development.
