About the Speakers

Steve Heckeroth
Founder and Chief Innovation Officer
Solectrac

Steve Heckeroth is an expert in designing, fabricating and building electric tractors and vehicles. His experience spans over 40 years in the renewable energy industry. He worked as the Director of Building Integrated Photovoltaics for the largest thin-film solar manufacturer in the world, designing PV roofing products from ’99 – ‘08. He contributed to several patents in the PV space. Steve founded MendoMotive and Electrac in 1993 to develop and build EVs and electric tractors. He founded Solectrac LLC in 2012 to take electric tractors into commercial production. He was the Principal Investigator in two grants completed in 2016 that moved the electric tractor closer to a commercially viable product. Steve converted the LLC to a California Benefit Corporation and Certified B-Corp in 2019. He holds several patents on electric tractor innovations.

George Fotopoulos

Mack Trucks, Inc.

George Fotopoulos is currently head of the eMobility Business Unit at Mack Trucks, Inc. where he is responsible for the commercialization of the company’s battery electric products and services. He works with customers and industry partners to accelerate the successful adoption of Mack’s carbon-zero transport solutions. George has 20+ years’ experience leading teams and departments, having held both operational and strategic roles with experience living abroad and leading global teams.

Brad Stemper is Lead, North America Construction Equipment Product Management at CASE Construction Equipment. Brad holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and has worked with CASE since 1999 in a number of roles, including commercial training, solutions marketing (telematics and machine control) and as a technical specialist.
